The Thornhill Reds are ready for an eventful 2022 and have added some new bodies to an already talent laden squad. The Reds will play in the Vaughan and Hap Walters tournaments, and of course attend the Provincial Championships in Windsor late July. Having lost a couple of AAA teams over the pandemic, and seeing a handful of players content with summers free, the Reds are sitting pretty steady from where things left off after the last full season of 2019.

Returning from the Provincial runner up team are P Chadwick Cameron, OF Sean Sutton, IF/OF Russ McGibbon, SS Argenis Paz, C Kris Fielding, C Pat Orr, U Kravice Batts, U Mitch Sadofsky, 1B/3B Warren Kember, P Max Dieks, with a couple others who are question marks at time of publication. (Injury or possible work)

LHP Adam Frydman returns after a handful of years with Martingrove, and will work out of the Reds pen. Thornhill also picked up former GTBL pitcher of the year LHP Mike Bannon after a short stint in the IBL. OF Jonas Press joins the Reds outfield, and should be an important part of the Reds offense from day one. RHP Cory Levy signed in '21 and showed well in in GTBL tourney play. Also showed can be a viable option with the bat if needed. RHP Danny Garcia came to Thornhill after being released from the Barrie Baycats development team, and will help the Reds staff in '22. RHP Nathan Long also joins the Thornhill bullpen in '22, and will look to fight for innings right off the hop.

More to come in the coming days, as we are close on a couple more big signings.
