The Thornhill Reds rolled into East York Monday night, and blanked the Bulldogs 3-0, to move to 4-1 on the GTBL season. Andy Orfanakos(1-0) worked the first six innings for the win, allowing just three hits, while walking none. Josh Appel was next, working two scoreless frames, striking out four of the six outs he recorded. Pat Orr shut the door for the Reds in the ninth, striking out the side to preserve the victory while picking up his first save of 2019.

The offense had to deal with a sharp Jeff Gibbs for East York, who fanned fifteen Reds on the night, but it was Kris Fielding who led the home side at the plate with a three hit night, driving in two for the now first place Thornhillers.

Next action is Wednesday at home, where Mack Major will toe the rubber against the visiting Newmarket Hawks.
