Reds win at home

it was a 9-4 home win for the Reds on Wednesday night against the Pickering Red Sox, helping them improve to 6-2 in GTBL play.

Gianfranco Morello and Kravice Batts each had two hits and four RBI to lead the offense. The Reds will be at Talbot Park Friday night to take on the Leaside Leafs, if mother Nature allows.

Reds open Vaughan tourney with win

Russ McGibbon(1-0) made the most of his first start on the hill in 2017, firing six strong innings in a 6-2 Reds win, which opened their title defense of the Vaughan Senior Tournament.

A four run third inning was keyed by back to back RBI doubles for Argenis Paz and Gianfranco Morello, as the Reds added two more late runs to take the opener.

Chadwick Cameron will go Saturday morning against the Newmarket Hawks, and later in the afternoon the Reds face Burlington, in the final game of pool play.

Reds now 4-1 in GTBL action

The Thornhill Reds improved to 4-1 in the GTBL regular season, after a 6-4 home win against the Leaside Leafs on Wednesday night.

Working five innings for the win was right hander Dan Lehmkuhl(2-0), who surrendered four hits and two unearned runs. Mack Major recorded the final four outs for his first save of 2017.

It was a three hit night for Russ McGibbon, who continued a red hot sophomore season for Thornhill.

The Reds are right back at it against the Leafs on Thursday, as they pay a visit to Talbot Park at 730PM. Mitch Sutton takes the ball for the Reds, looking to sweep the home and home series.

Reds falter late

The Thornhill Reds took a 3-1 lead to the sixth inning and couldn't finish the job against the St Jean Pirates, and got walked off 4-3 in seven.

Mack Major(0-1) suffered the loss in relief of starter Josh Appel who left after four innings of work.

The Reds fail to advance to Sunday, and will pick things back up at home on Wednesday night, the first of a back to back against the Leaside Leafs.
